MS, Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern
On my journey towards becoming a licensed mental health counselor I am dedicated to fostering positive well-being, creating a welcoming space, and building strong connections with my clients. I'm driven by the belief that everyone deserves the support and resources they need to thrive, and I'm dedicated to making a positive impact on the mental health landscape. I believe that all children and adolescents are just one caring adult away from being able to navigate life's challenges with resilience and confidence. Recognizing that every person is different, I create customized treatment plans that are driven by each clients' individual needs. In my practice, I utilize various therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy and Mindfulness.
In addition, I have been working as a school counselor for the past 6 years. This has afforded me the opportunity to work in depth with elementary age children and to see firsthand the obstacles that children face today. Incorporating my school experience into private practice allows me to seamlessly transition my expertise from the educational setting to a more individualized and client-focused approach. Drawing on my background in school counseling, I bring a unique perspective to my private practice. I tailor interventions to address not only the emotional and academic challenges children encounter, but also foster a holistic approach that supports the whole child. Collaborating with parents is an important part of the therapeutic process. We work as a team to develop a treatment plan to get the best outcomes as well as implement effective strategies that promote emotional resilience and academic success.
I am available to see children, adolescents and young adults for individual counseling. In addition, I will be offering various groups such as 'Beautiful Me', a self-esteem group for teenage girls and Social skills groups for various ages.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
