Hello and Welcome – I’m glad you’re here.

I am one of the co-owners of South Shore Counseling and have practiced in the field of Clinical Social Work since 2001.  My training began in NYC working in Maternal Child Health, helping women to cope with pregnancy adjustment, perinatal loss and postpartum depression.  I opened my first private practice in 2012, where I worked with college students in Burlington, Vermont for several years.  I have a vast range of experience in both school and hospital settings, that includes working with children, adolescents, and adults.

If you’ve been through something hard—whether it happened years ago or just recently—you might still feel the weight of it in your daily life. Maybe it shows up as anxiety, feeling on edge, shutting down, or just not feeling like yourself. That’s actually really common. And the good news is: you don’t have to stay stuck there.

I specialize in helping people navigate the impact of trauma, stress, and major life changes. My approach is grounded, compassionate, and zero-pressure. You don’t need to have the “right words” or an explanation—we’ll figure things out together, at your pace.

One of the tools I offer is EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). It’s a powerful, research-backed method that helps your brain process painful experiences so they don’t feel as overwhelming anymore. The best part? You don’t have to relive every detail for it to be effective. Most clients find EMDR helps them feel lighter, more present, and more in control of their lives.

Through our work together you can expect a space to heal, reconnect with yourself, and move forward in a way that feels true to who you are. If you’re curious about EMDR, or just want to see if we’d be a good fit, please reach out.  I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your journey.
